A stone dial is a thin slice of natural mineral, cut and polished to sit under the crystal. Colour, veining and inclusions change from one piece to the next, so every stone dial watch is unique. Nivada Grenchen builds its stone dials on the F77, the integrated-bracelet sports watch first drawn in 1977, in 37, 38 and 41 mm.

      The stones of the F77

      • Lapis lazuli: deep blue with golden pyrite flecks. F77 MK2 38 mm, and MK1 37 mm in steel, titanium and black ceramic.
      • Tiger eye: golden grain in a two-tone 37 mm MK1, limited to 75 numbered pieces.
      • Meteorite and aventurine: see meteorite dial watches and aventurine dial watches.
      • 100 Years editions: ice agate, black opal, labradorite, jade, shungite, smoky quartz and azurite.
      • Also: black onyx and malachite.

      Stone dial FAQ

      Are the stones genuine?

Yes. Each dial is cut from the mineral named on the product page. Colour, pattern and texture vary, so the watch you receive may differ slightly from the photos.

What is a lapis lazuli watch?

A watch with a dial of lapis lazuli, a deep blue stone with natural golden pyrite inclusions. The F77 MK2 Lapis Lazuli pairs it with a 38 mm steel case and the Swiss Soprod P024 automatic.

Which movement drives a stone dial F77?

The steel MK1 and MK2 use the Swiss Soprod P024 automatic, with a 38-hour power reserve. The 100 Years editions use the La Joux-Perret G101, with 68 hours.
