A meteorite dial is a thin slice of a real iron meteorite, etched to reveal the crystal structure that formed as the metal cooled slowly in space. Nivada Grenchen (1926, Grenchen) sets these dials in the F77, its integrated-bracelet sports watch first drawn in 1977. Every version runs on the Swiss Soprod P024 automatic, with a 38-hour power reserve and 10 ATM water resistance.

More natural dials are in the stone dial watches range.

      Meteorite dial FAQ

      Is the meteorite real?

Yes. The F77 MK2 38 mm uses Muonionalusta, an iron octahedrite found in northern Sweden that contains about 7.65% nickel. The pattern is revealed by acid etching, so no two dials are the same.

      What is the Widmanstätten pattern?

It is the crossing of kamacite and taenite bands visible on an etched iron meteorite. It forms over millions of years of slow cooling in space and cannot be replicated.

      38 mm or 41 mm?

The 38 mm measures 46.2 mm lug to lug and has no date. The 41 mm measures 50 mm lug to lug, with a wider 24 mm bracelet and a date option.
