The Super Antarctic 3.6.9 Black is a 38 mm Swiss automatic watch with a black tropical-style dial, luminous 3, 6 and 9 Arabic numerals and baton indexes. An aging effect on the dial and hands gives it the warm tone of a vintage piece, finished with Swiss Super-LumiNova.
This continuation began on Instagram. A follower shared a vintage Super Antarctic with Nivada Grenchen; the brand featured it in its stories and received so many messages that bringing it back with the same spirit and character became the obvious next step. The design stays true to the original, while the build follows modern standards.
The stainless steel case measures 38 mm, 12 mm thick and 45 mm lug to lug, with shiny and brushed surfaces and 20 mm between the lugs. A double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a screw-down crown and 10 ATM water resistance make it ready for daily wear. Inside beats the Swiss Soprod P024, a self-winding 11 1/2 lignes calibre. A gold medallion marks the caseback, a signature of the Super Antarctic. This Super Antarctic reissue actually started on Instagram, after one of our followers shared a vintage timepiece with us. We featured it in our stories and received so many messages that it quickly became clear bringing it back with the same original spirit and character was something we had to do. While staying true to the original design, the watch is built to modern standards, featuring a sapphire crystal and a Swiss automatic Soprod P024 movement. A screw-down crown ensures 10 ATM water resistance, making it as practical today as it was reliable back then. The Super Antarctic 3.6.9 is a faithful reedition of the vintage model, offered in two dial options: a matte black dial or a tropical-style dial, both finished with Swiss Super-LumiNova. To enhance the vintage feel, we’ve added an aging effect to the dial and hands. The case measures 38 mm in diameter, with a 45 mm lug-to-lug and a thickness of 12 mm, keeping the proportions balanced and wearable. Turning the watch over, you’ll also notice the legendary gold medallion on the caseback, a signature detail of the Super Antarctic.
