And now, the first F77 Chrono Mecaquartz. Ever. The F77 has firmly earned its place in our modern collection, so evolving it into a chronograph felt both natural and true to our chronograph DNA. Because the F77 never existed as a Chrono Mecaquartz before, this is not a re-edition, it’s a brand-new creation.
The F77 Chrono Mecaquartz Blue Woven Dial brings Nivada Grenchen’s 1977 icon into the world of modern sport-chic chronographs. Its signature blue woven dial immediately recalls the original F77 texture, now framed by two snailed sub-registers and the emblematic riveted bezel. Built on a compact 38 mm 316L stainless-steel case with brushed and polished finishes, and downward-sloping lugs, it wears comfortably on almost any wrist.
Inside, the VK64 mecaquartz caliber delivers around three years of battery autonomy while offering the smooth, mechanical-like sweep of the chronograph seconds hand. This hybrid architecture pairs quartz precision for timekeeping with a mechanical chronograph module for the start–stop–reset action, giving the watch a distinctly “mechanical” feel on the wrist. A double-domed sapphire crystal, solid screw-down caseback and 10 ATM water resistance complete a chronograph designed for daily wear, whether on its integrated steel bracelet, Velcro canvas, or rubber strap.
