Born in 1965, the Depthmaster was the very first waterproof diving watch to withstand 1,000 meters, a fabulous feat in the mid-20th century. Most watches were waterproof to 100 or 200 meters, and few brands were as innovative as Nivada Grenchen in terms of sporting performance. With its Art Deco indices at three, six, and nine o'clock, which clearly resemble the character from the famous video game, watch collectors gave the Depthmaster the nickname "Pac-Man.

For its latest release, Nivada Grenchen has developed a bronze version of the Depthmaster, still waterproof to 1,000 meters but with a ceramic bezel, not only content with the deep sea but also enjoying urban diving. Versatile, it transitions from sea to land and adorns the wrist elegantly. Playing with a wide choice of straps, it transforms itself; during the day in sport mode ready to dive with a Rubber Tropic strap and in the evening in a dressed-up mode with a leather strap. There are no less than 7 interchangeable straps offered to match your desires.

Depthmaster
quintessential tool Watch

Depthmaster has always been entirely different from the majority of other diving watches characterized by a round case, a round rotating bezel, and round luminous markers. Instead, the Depthmaster adopted a 38mm cushion case with muscular lugs, a thick metal bezel with a knurled edge without an insert, and in some versions, with highly unique luminous markers. Indeed, the stylized Art Deco indices deviate so much from the norm that they are immediately identifiable in the darkness. Underwater, it is impossible to mistake a Depthmaster for another watch, so strong is its visual signature.

Timelessly authentic
