The Autochron Orange Mecaquartz is a 38 mm steel chronograph with a matte black dial that shifts into a saturated orange gradient, beige CD-track counters and orange chronograph accents, powered by the TMI VK67 meca-quartz chronograph with date. Pure 1970s racing energy in a wearable format.
Its architecture traces back to the experimental Autochron of the late 1970s, a prototype that combined motorsport timing with a sturdy sports-watch build. Nivada Grenchen believes about 20 test pieces were made, never sold commercially.
The vertically brushed 316L steel case has polished details, measures 12.65 mm thick and 44.3 mm lug to lug, and wears a signed crown embossed with the shield logo. The new wider aluminum bezel turns in one direction with 120 distinct positions per revolution. A double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and 20 ATM water resistance, or 200 m, cover daily wear.

The dial begins in matte black before shifting into a saturated orange gradient.
