The Super Antarctic Black White Luminova is a 35 mm hand-wound reissue of a vintage Super Antarctic. The project started on Instagram: a follower shared his vintage watch, the post drew so many messages that Nivada Grenchen decided to make it again with the same spirit, now with modern standards.

The flat matt black dial has shiny silver applied indexes and bold white Super-LumiNova for strong low-light visibility, a sharp contrast that reflects the rugged watches worn on 1950s polar expeditions. The proportions are deliberately compact: 35 mm in diameter, 41.9 mm lug to lug and only 10.1 mm thick, which makes it a good choice for smaller wrists or for anyone who likes a discreet vintage size. The 316 stainless steel case is shiny and brushed, under a double-domed sapphire crystal, and the closed caseback carries the penguin engraving and the gold medallion.

Inside, the Swiss hand-wound Landeron 21 movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Water resistance is 5 ATM. The lug width is 18 mm, with racing, plain or stitched leather, rubber, the flat link bracelet or the beads of rice bracelet.
