This is not a re-edition. The Nivada Grenchen F77 Chrono Mecaquartz Blue Woven is the first F77 chronograph the brand has ever produced, a genuine new creation rooted in Nivada Grenchen's 1977 integrated-bracelet heritage and built for the demands of modern daily wear.
The signature blue woven dial is the defining feature of the F77 line, and on the Chrono Mecaquartz it arrives in its most complete form. The woven carbon-look texture plays with light across the surface, while two snailed sub-registers, applied baton indexes and sword hands keep the layout clean and immediately legible. The riveted bezel and downward-sloping lugs stay true to the original 1977 silhouette, only now with chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock that complete the sport-chronograph attitude the case always suggested.
The F77 Chrono Mecaquartz is built on a 38mm 316L stainless steel case with a lug-to-lug distance of 46.2mm and a 12.2mm case thickness. Alternating brushed and polished surfaces give the case its depth and finish quality. The compact proportions mean it sits flush and wears comfortably on a wide range of wrist sizes, a deliberate choice for a chronograph built to be used every day.
Inside beats the VK64 mecaquartz caliber, a Japanese-engineered hybrid movement that combines quartz-accurate base timekeeping with a fully mechanical chronograph module. The result is a chronograph seconds hand that sweeps smoothly at 1/5-second intervals, paired with the crisp, positive start–stop–reset action of a mechanical pusher system. Battery life runs to approximately three years with zero winding or mainspring servicing required. It delivers the tactile pleasure of a mechanical chronograph with the reliability and low maintenance of quartz.
A double-domed sapphire crystal with polished edges, a solid screw-down caseback and 10 ATM / 100m water resistance round out a Swiss sport chronograph engineered for daily use. The F77 Chrono Mecaquartz is available with an integrated 316L stainless steel bracelet (22×16mm), a canvas Velcro strap, or a black rubber strap, all designed to fit flush with the F77 MK2 case.
