The Revival of a Legend
Gentlemen, step back in time with style with the new Chronosport from Nivada Grenchen. A jewel from the ‘70s revisited for the modern gentleman with only 20 copies of this watch were produced at the time making it a real treasure for collectors. A find, just the way we like it!

ORIGNAL CHRONOSPORT PROTOTYPE 1970’S
There is a lot of talk now about ‘prototype’ watches. We are, however, very happy to sell this as a genuine test piece by Nivada in as-new condition ( only a few tiny hairline scratches from storage !)– it has never been worn. We believe that these watches were made in only around 20 examples and were never commercially available. To us, the most interesting element of this watch is the singer dial that shares some of the details of the Rolex Daytona. The lume on the dial and hands has taken on a stunning, rich patina. Additionally the watch features a bi-directional rotating bezel, date feature and red depth rating. The steel bracelet is in outstanding condition. This watch is in completely untouched condition and we have decided to not even open this time capsule. The watch is running fine, but for everyday wear a service might be recommended.

A Quartz Watch with a Mechanical Feel
This new edition of the Nivada Grenchen Chronosport comes in two striking colorways—salmon and yellow—offering an updated, yet timeless twist on the iconic design. The dial retains the famous Art Deco-style typography on the sub-dials, now rendered in either sand or salmon tones, which perfectly contrast the deep black textured background. The combination of these rich hues adds a dynamic 3D effect to the dial, giving it a sense of depth and movement.True to the original design, the Chronosport is equipped with a stunning bidirectional rotating fluted bezel, crafted from durable aluminum. A bold yellow dot at 12 o’clock adds a pop of color, bringing both vibrancy and elegance to the watch. This functional aesthetic is paired with a tachymeter scale on the bezel, an essential tool for race car drivers to measure speed over a fixed distance—blending practicality with visual appeal.

VK67 Meca-Quartz
Powered by a VK67 Meca-Quartz movement with a three-year battery life. The chronograph hand sweeps smoothly across the dial, mimicking the motion of mechanical watches. The principle of a Meca Quartz movement is to combine the precision of quartz with the beauty of traditional watchmaking, thanks to an automatic movement module. The quartz part provides the timekeeping, while the mechanical module ensures the proper operation of the chronograph (at 6 o’clock). This is why they are often called hybrid movements. The Chronosport Meca-Quartz models are available with multiple strap options, including leather, various styles of steel, and rubber.

SIZE GUIDE HYBRID

Tachymeter Scale
How Does It Work?
Start: When the object or vehicle starts moving, start the chronograph. Stop: Stop the chronograph after the object or vehicle has traveled a known distance (1 km or 1 mile). Reading the Speed: Read the average speed directly on the tachymeter scale where the chronograph second hand has stopped. For example, if a car travels one kilometer in 30 seconds, the second hand will stop at the 120 mark on the tachymeter scale, indicating an average speed of 120 km/h.
