Our dream was to make a 36mm diameter version, nevertheless, with modern mechanical movement dimensions, it is not possible to get something that is not looking like a brick with this contained diameter. But… it was possible to use a Mecaquartz tmi movement So we made a sample to see how it would look and guess what? It looks super cool! We know it’s not 100% accurate and 100% horological pure to our roots but it deserves some consideration. Following our guts, we have produced a 500 pieces limited edition assembled in Switzerland

A pure 60’s design language

The Datomaster is a watch entrenched in some solid 60’s fashion. Its stripped down dial bears “only” the essentials for a Chronograph. Featuring applied batons as hour markers & a chapter ring pushed at the very edge of the dial, there is plenty of space for the contrasting sub-dials to express themselves. With its bright splashes of color on the second hand & sub-dial, the Datomaster projects the kind of futur optimism that had gripped the 1960’s.

Mecaquartz Chronograph

The Datomaster Mecaquartz was our attempt at getting a size-accurate re-edition of the original thing. Back when movements were smaller, the 36mm Datomaster had no problem fitting a manual wind chronograph. Today, that’s a bit of a different story and to get a 36mm datomaster we went with the very reliable TMI VK64 mecaquartz chronograph.
