The F77 SST Lapis Lazuli MK2 is a 38 mm Swiss automatic watch whose dial is cut from genuine lapis lazuli, a deep ultramarine stone naturally flecked with golden pyrite. The inclusions form organic patterns, like a night sky scattered with stars, so no two dials are identical. Shiny silver applied indexes with white Super-LumiNova dots keep it legible.
The case is the F77 of 1977, the integrated sports watch Nivada Grenchen continues today: an octagonal stainless steel bezel held by 8 screws, brushed and polished surfaces and a bracelet that flows from the case. The MK2 version is slimmer at 12.2 mm, with more curved lugs, drilled lugs for easy strap changes and a redesigned integrated bracelet.
Inside beats the Swiss Soprod P024 automatic movement: 25 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, a 38-hour power reserve, and hours, minutes and central seconds without date. The double-domed sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating, the crown screws down and water resistance reaches 10 ATM. Wear it on the integrated steel bracelet, a Velcro canvas strap or a rubber strap.
