After weeks of teasing, strange
clues, and a worldwide tour that left more questions than answers… it's finally time to reveal what all the
noise was about.
playful mechanical twist on the iconic Antarctic 38mm. A watch that looks perfectly serious on the front…
but hides a far more mischievous story on the back.
Our caseback is part of our Antarctic legacy. First introduced on our vintage models inspired by mid-century polar expeditions, the penguin engraving became a quiet signature of the collection. Today, it remains a faithful nod to our history, linking each watch to the landscapes, symbols, and spirit of exploration that shaped our origins.
Once upon a time, not the cute kind… two penguins crossed paths in Antarctica. It was cold. They weren't. What started as casual curiosity quickly turned into something far more intentional. No hesitation. Just perfectly synchronized movement.
And when they realized the world was watching? They didn't slow down. Now their little polar secret lives on your wrist.
At the heart of the watch: a
hand-wound Soprod P054, adapted to drive the animated caseback mechanism while preserving
daily-wear reliability and a clean display on the front.
The miniature automaton is
connected to the winding system. The ratchet wheel has been re-machined into a cam profile, converting
winding action into a vertical motion driving the penguin.
Six distinct personalities. One secret they all share on the back. Choose your shade the penguins never change.
You will have exactly 69 minutes to get the Salmon. Not 70. Not a second more.
You will have 69 hours to get the Eggshell edition. After that, it’s gone.
You will have 6 days and 9 hours to secure the rest, Brown, White, Tuxedo and Black.
"What makes this collaboration meaningful is that it connects curiosity about Antarctica with real scientific monitoring happening on the ground. Every penguin colony we track helps scientists better understand how this extraordinary region is changing. Support from partners like Nivada Grenchen helps ensure that this long-term scientific record continues to grow and inform global conservation efforts."Ron Naveen — Founder of Oceanites
